Overtime's 'AMM and Liquidity Mechanics' page (docs.overtime.io, read 30 Sep 2026) says odds come from global providers through Chainlink, and 'on top of the oracle-fed odds, the AMM applies a protocol fee, currently set at 2%'. Bets placed in the OVER token get 'a reduced margin'. The 2% is charged on every stake, not only on winnings as with ProphetX (7.0). The docs do not say whether the provider odds (Pinnacle, OpticOdds) already contain a bookmaker margin. At mid prices that makes it dearer than the p(1-p) schedules of Polymarket (6.5) and Novig (8.0), and parlays compound the fee.

The Terms of Use PDF linked from overtimemarkets.xyz (read 30 Sep 2026) is an agreement with 'Overtime DAO', governed by 'the internal laws of Serbia', with AAA arbitration. It says the Company 'is not registered nor licensed with' the CFTC, the SEC 'or any other financial or banking regulator of any jurisdiction'. The docs' Terms page says no developer or entity controls Overtime, and bars the US and 11 other countries. That places it in the low end of the 'named operator + terms, no licence' band (2–3.5), because the counterparty is a token-governed DAO rather than a registered company. The code is open source and non-custodial, but no audit was read in this pass.

The one non-sports product is Speed Markets, which are up/down bets on crypto prices. We rate it just above Novig (3.5, sports-only but deep) for the crypto and esports markets; it still covers essentially 2 of 7 categories.

The 'Sports Trading Guidelines' are a detailed rulebook with void rules for each sport, and state 'Settlements are final after 72 hours. Corrections are allowed only for human or system error discovered within that window'. The only escalation route is 'Users may escalate irregularities to the Overtime DAO in the Overtime discord', with no bond, vote or binding procedure described. That puts it above FanDuel (3.5) for the published rules, but well below Kalshi (6.5) and Polymarket intl (8.5).

A parlay competition (28 Aug–2 Oct 2026) awards 2,000 USDC in free bets weekly. New users get conditional free bets ('Drive $25 in volume for a $25 free bet'), and referrals earn XP. The terms are published, but free bets expire in 30 days, the stake is not returned, and Overtime 'reserves the right to disqualify toxic flow wallets'. That puts it level with ProphetX (6.0) and below Novig (7.0).
