Check country eligibility

Choose the country you want to check. This lookup does not change your site region or establish individual account approval.

These are document checks, not a funded-account test. Access may depend on residence, physical location, account approval and the contract category. Check the operator’s current terms before depositing.

  • Augur reboot announcement and project homepage — checked

The current homepage describes a reboot and links to Lituus development and the completed Moon Fork. Historical Augur features do not prove a currently usable retail venue.

Pros and cons

What works

  • The project states its own position plainly rather than leaving an abandoned site up
  • The forked REP token and its contract address are published, as are the venues where it trades
  • Work on a new oracle architecture and an eventual market protocol is described
  • States the fork date and the close of the REP migration window, so a holder can check where they stand

What doesn’t

  • You cannot trade prediction markets on Augur: by its own FAQ, no Augur-native application has relaunched
  • What trades today is a token, which is not a position on an event and has no resolution criteria
  • The REP migration window closed on 3 August 2026
  • No operating company, jurisdiction or licence is stated anywhere
  • No relaunch date is given, and we will not estimate one

Prices and liquidity

We do not currently publish live quotes for Augur. Check the platform’s order book before placing an order: the last trade can differ from the price available for your position size.

You cannot trade on Augur today

This is the whole entry, and we are putting it first because anyone arriving from an older article deserves to know before they read anything else. Augur’s own FAQ answers the question of whether one can trade on it: “Not as a new Augur-native prediction-market application: one has not yet relaunched.” The site’s own headline reads “Augur is Rebooting”.

We keep this record so that a historically important project — the first serious attempt at a decentralised prediction market, and the origin of a great deal of the design language the rest of this category still uses — is on file as dormant rather than silently absent. It carries no score, because there is nothing operating to score, and a score would imply otherwise.

What actually exists

A forked REP token on Ethereum, at contract 0xCf6A0A7826fa124B7705d6f3c675eAD76f1e540D, tradable on third-party venues that the project itself names: Kraken, Uniswap and GeckoTerminal. The site dates the fork to 8 April 2026 and states that the REP migration window closed on 3 August 2026.

It is worth being precise about what that is, because the distinction is easy to lose. Buying REP is buying a token whose price moves with sentiment about a project. It is not taking a position on an event, it does not settle against a real-world outcome, and it has no resolution criteria. A token market and a prediction market are different instruments that happen to share a brand.

What is said to be coming

The site describes work under way on “a new oracle architecture, broader REP access, and an eventual Augur-native market protocol”. The names appearing on it are the Lituus Foundation and The Dark Florist. No operating company, jurisdiction or licence is stated anywhere.

We have not verified the operator, the original launch year, or any relaunch date, and we are not going to estimate one. A stated intention to rebuild is not a date, and this page will say a venue exists when there is a venue to use.

If you hold REP

The migration window the project describes has closed, which is a fact worth checking against your own holdings rather than taking from us — the consequences of a closed migration window are specific to the token you hold and to where you hold it, and we are not in a position to advise on that.

What we can say is what this site would say about any token: nothing on this page is investment advice, and the existence of a tradable token is not evidence that the prediction market behind it is coming back. Treat the two questions separately, because the project itself does.

User reviews

We have no approved reviews for Augur. Every submission is read by a moderator before it appears, and none has passed for this platform. The User Score is not published below 3 reviews, so nothing is averaged here either — the Editor Score above is measured against our own criteria and does not depend on it.

New review submissions are temporarily closed. For corrections, contact bestpredictionmarkets@proton.me.

Augur FAQ

Can I trade on Augur?
No. Augur’s own FAQ answers this directly: not “as a new Augur-native prediction-market application: one has not yet relaunched”, and the site’s headline reads “Augur is Rebooting”. What exists is a forked REP token on Ethereum, tradable on Kraken, Uniswap and GeckoTerminal — venues the project itself names. Buying that token is not taking a position on an event and has no resolution criteria. We keep this record so a historically important project is on file as dormant rather than silently absent.
Why does this page have no score?
Because there is nothing operating to score, and a score would imply otherwise. Every Editor Score on this site is a weighted assessment of a venue a reader could use — its liquidity, fees, regulation, resolution and so on. None of those questions has an answer for a project whose own FAQ says no application has relaunched. Publishing a number here would place Augur in a ranking against venues that are actually trading, which is precisely the impression this record exists to prevent.
