Prediction markets with a public API

Platforms that publish an API for market data, trading or both — for a bot, a dashboard or a model — ranked by Editor Score. Whether a platform has one is read from its own developer documentation. Access rules, rate limits and whether trading by API needs a verified account differ by venue; each review links the documentation we read.

Ranked platforms

  1. Kalshi

    7.7/10preliminary
    Regulated✅ Available

KalshiEX is a CFTC-designated contract market and its Member Agreement names no US state as restricted. State court orders block some contract categories in Nevada, Washington and Michigan; elsewhere its contracts are available. Kalshi is in litigation with about 20 states, so this can change quickly.

  2. Novig

    6.4/10preliminary
    Regulated✅ Available

“Novig is available nationwide, except in Arizona, Nevada, and Michigan.” Eligibility is based on physical location at the time of trading, and users must be 21 or older.

  3. Alpha Arcade

    5.1/10preliminary
    Crypto✅ Available

Not on Alpha Arcade’s list of restricted jurisdictions. Absence from the list does not by itself establish that an individual may use the platform.

  4. Manifold Markets

    3.7/10preliminary
    Play money✅ Available

Play-money mana trading is open to users 13+ (minors need a guardian). Outside the listed states, US residents aged 18+ can also enter prize drawings.

  5. Delphi

    3.5/10preliminary
    Crypto✅ Available

Not on Delphi’s list of restricted jurisdictions. Absence from the list does not by itself establish that an individual may use the platform.

  6. Polymarket US

    7.3/10preliminary
    Regulated⚠️ Restrictions

QCX LLC publishes no list of eligible or excluded states. A Nevada court granted a preliminary injunction against QCX LLC d/b/a Polymarket US on 29 May 2026 (Nevada Gaming Control Board). Missouri's Attorney General has sent a cease-and-desist over sports contracts, and New York has announced a lawsuit; neither state is marked closed because the operator has not said it geoblocks them.

  7. Polymarket

    6.9/10preliminary
    Crypto⚠️ Restrictions

The international polymarket.com site is closed to US residents: no deposits and no trades. The help centre lists the US as blocked and the API docs list it as close-only. US residents are sent to the separate Polymarket US app, run by QCX LLC (a CFTC DCM). Polymarket US state-level eligibility was not verified because its ToS page loads its text client-side.

  8. ProphetX

    6.0/10preliminary
    Regulated⚠️ Restrictions

ProphetX says it is “available nationwide” but publishes no excluded-state list; its help centre says access “is restricted from certain locations and IP addresses”. Connecticut reportedly ordered it to stop offering sports contracts to residents (September 2026); the order could not be read on the regulator’s site.

  9. Futuur

    5.2/10preliminary
    Custodial⚠️ Restrictions

Listed in the Terms (updated 24 Jan 2025) among countries whose residents may not use Real-Money Services. Play-money (Ooms) markets stay open, and the app tells users from Restricted Jurisdictions they can still bet play money.

  • Public API with full order book access

9. Futuur

5.2Prelim

Strengths

  • Markets name a Primary Designated Source with a Secondary Confirmation Mechanism fallback
  • Full rules render in a market page fetched with no account
  • An unresolvable market is voided with stakes returned rather than settled on a guess
  • 208,358 resolved events are readable over the public API, so the settlement record is inspectable at scale

Watch out

  • The terms state twice that Futuur has “sole discretion” over determinations and that they are “final and binding”
  • No dispute window, bond or escalation anywhere; the route offered is email
  • The API carries a first-class “reversed” status, so undoing a settlement is a designed capability
  • The terms page carries two copies naming different companies — Anjouan and Curaçao — under two governing laws
  • Play-money and real-money markets run side by side and must never be read as one book
  • Custody is with the operator; the duplicated terms leave the contracting entity unresolved

15. Predict.fun

5.4Prelim

Strengths

  • Non-custodial: the venue never holds your balance
  • Zero maker fee, so posting liquidity costs only the spread you offer
  • Yield paid on USDT collateral while it sits against an open position — unique among the venues we cover
  • Six of the seven categories we track, the widest verified breadth of any venue we built from primary sources
  • Names its operating entity, which most on-chain venues do not

Watch out

  • Its own documentation describes two incompatible resolution mechanisms, both live on the same day
  • The developer page for the deployed oracle states “No bonding or dispute mechanism (simplified trust model)”
  • Admins can flag questions for emergency resolution, documented in developer pages rather than in the user terms
  • A role holder can settle Chainlink market rounds manually
  • No licence, no regulator, and no stated jurisdiction of incorporation

17. Myriad Markets

5.0Prelim

Strengths

  • A three-dollar minimum, among the lowest barriers to entry we list
  • Zero maker fee
  • Per-market rules are published, so you can read what a contract turns on before trading
  • Settlement in USD1 or USDC.e, across crypto, politics, economy and sports

Watch out

  • The entire documented settlement process is one sentence: the team resolves
  • No oracle, no challenge window, no bond and no escalation anywhere in nineteen documentation pages
  • The only route offered to anyone disputing a settlement is a support ticket to the party that made it
  • The deployed contract carries an admin function that writes outcomes directly without calling an oracle
  • Myriad’s own commissioned audit says role holders have “control over which side wins”
  • The terms of use disclose no such role and reserve no such discretion

18. Limitless Exchange

4.5Prelim

Strengths

  • Every YES + NO pair is fully collateralised by $1.00 USDC, so the money to pay the winner is locked at creation
  • Names its operator: Street Chow Inc., a Panamanian company, in terms dated 19 June 2026
  • Full market criteria are served to an unauthenticated API request
  • Publishes its refund policy plainly, which several venues in this pool do not

Watch out

  • The CFTC register entry reads Pending, not Designated — an application confers nothing
  • Settlement is centralised: Pyth resolves most markets, the Limitless team resolves the rest
  • No challenge window, no bond and no escalation; the documented remedy is an email
  • A misresolved market refunds only your stake, while the wrong side keeps its winnings
  • No licence or registration stated anywhere in its own documentation

23. Hyperliquid

3.6Prelim

Strengths

  • Question templates are voted on by validators before any market instantiates them
  • Ambiguity is pre-specified in the template text — draws, no contests, unlisted winners and missed deadlines all resolve to a stated value
  • The full settlement record is public and enumerable with no wallet
  • Contracts are fully collateralised and settle within a fixed range

Watch out

  • No dispute mechanism of any kind: a search of the whole documentation for dispute, challenge, bond, appeal and arbitration returns nothing
  • A single staked deployer key settles the market by submitting a fraction
  • The only page specifying who settles a deployer-registered market is subtitled “Testnet-only”, while mainnet markets are live
  • Template settlements must send an empty details field, so newer markets publish a number with no stated reasoning
  • The documented scope is one recurring BTC binary; multi-outcome markets are not in the initial release
  • No licence, operator, jurisdiction or age requirement stated; /terms returned HTTP 403

How to choose

Separate reading from trading. Many venues let anyone read prices and order books; placing orders needs an account, and on a regulated exchange that means identity verification first. The terms that exclude a country’s residents from a venue cover its API too.

Price the strategy before you build it. API traders usually post limit orders, so the maker fee matters more than the taker fee; the fees table shows both, and the arbitrage calculator checks whether a price gap survives fees on both sides.

Frequently asked questions

Which prediction markets have an API?

Every platform on this list: each one’s own developer documentation describes a public API. Kalshi and Polymarket are among them; the list orders all of them by Editor Score and shows where each is open.

Can I trade a prediction market by API from the US?

Only on a platform open to US residents. An offshore venue’s API is covered by the same terms that exclude US users from its website, and a US-regulated exchange verifies your identity before it accepts orders.
