18+ or the local age of majority, whichever is higher (Terms §3). Onyx Predictions is listed as available in CA, NJ, CO, LA, WV, ID and AL, plus IN and ME on the homepage only. Trading requires a NinjaTrader Clearing account.

What fees does Onyx Odds (Onyx Predictions) charge?

No fee schedule is published on onyxodds.com, and NinjaTrader's US event-contract pricing could not be read. The Terms say only that users can lose their cost of entry "including fees".

    Banner reads "Onyx Predictions Now Available in CA, NJ, CO, LA, IN, WV, ID, ME, AL". The state map's Predictions tab lists the same nine states. The footer gives NFA IDs 0576468 (Onyx Predictions LLC) and 0309379 (NTC).

  • Onyx Odds Terms of Use v2.1.1 (updated August 7, 2026) — checked

    Section 5: "Sports-event trading is offered by Onyx Predictions LLC through NinjaTrader Clearing LLC". It requires a NinjaTrader account, and "Onyx and Onyx Predictions do not hold funds for prediction market trading." Section 3 sets eligibility at 18+ or the age of majority. No exchange (DCM) is named.

    "INTRODUCING BROKER REGISTERED" and "NFA MEMBER APPROVED" are both effective 05/20/2026, and the swap firm entry was approved 05/20/2026. The IB guarantor is "NINJATRADER CLEARING LLC". Principals listed are Leul Sahlu Dadi (President/CEO) and Tsos Technologies Inc.

    "FUTURES COMMISSION MERCHANT REGISTERED" effective 05/29/2002. NFA member approved 04/26/2001. Swap firm approved 10/07/2025.

  • Onyx Odds Privacy Policy v1.1.1 (last updated Jan 9, 2025) — checked

    Onyx collects a "copy of government-issued ID, Social Security Number, and date of birth", plus biometric data (a faceprint/selfie) through an identity-verification vendor. The policy does not say at what point this happens for the event-contract product.

  • Payward press release — Payward leads Onyx Odds Series A (June 24, 2026) — checked

    Payward led the Series A, which "values Onyx Odds at $220 million". The release says Onyx was "Founded in 2025" and will run prediction markets on Payward's "fully licensed US derivatives stack". It names no specific DCM and gives no round size.

Is Onyx Odds (Onyx Predictions) regulated?

Onyx Predictions LLC (NFA ID 0576468) is a CFTC introducing broker. NFA BASIC shows "INTRODUCING BROKER REGISTERED" and NFA membership approved, both effective 20 May 2026, with "NINJATRADER CLEARING LLC" as guarantor (NFA BASIC, read 1 Oct 2026). Customer accounts are carried by NinjaTrader Clearing LLC (NFA ID 0309379), a futures commission merchant registered since 29 May 2002 (NFA BASIC, read 1 Oct 2026).

Onyx says it "does not accept or hold customer funds" (onyxodds.com footer, read 1 Oct 2026). Terms of Use v2.1.1 (7 Aug 2026): "Sports-event trading is offered by Onyx Predictions LLC through NinjaTrader Clearing LLC" (read 1 Oct 2026). Onyx Predictions LLC is not itself an exchange. No Onyx page we read names the designated contract market that lists the contracts.

Payward says only that Onyx runs on its "fully licensed US derivatives stack" (payward.com, 24 Jun 2026, read 1 Oct 2026). Onyx Games LLC, which runs the free-to-play/sweepstakes app, and Onyx Predictions LLC are both owned by Tsos Technologies, Inc.

Who can use Onyx Odds (Onyx Predictions)?
