Are prediction markets legal in Missouri?

Uncertain. Missouri’s Attorney General sent cease-and-desist letters on 16–17 September 2026 to Kalshi, Polymarket US, Crypto.com, Novig, Underdog and Robinhood, calling their sports contracts unlicensed sports wagering and asking them to comply within 30 days. No lawsuit has followed yet. Sports betting is legal through operators licensed by the Missouri Gaming Commission.

Of the 56 platforms we review, 12 are open in Missouri, 5 with restrictions and 26 not at all; for 13 the terms do not say. Sports betting in Missouri: legal since 1 Dec 2025, licensed by the Missouri Gaming Commission (Mo. Const. art. III, § 39(g)) (ago.mo.gov).
