Are prediction markets legal in Nevada?
Partly. Nevada’s courts have gone furthest: injunctions bar Kalshi’s sports, election and entertainment contracts and Polymarket US altogether, and the Ninth Circuit sided with Nevada in August 2026. Novig does not operate there. Kalshi’s economic and crypto contracts remain open, and sports betting itself is legal through state-licensed books.

The international polymarket.com site is closed to US residents: no deposits and no trades. The help centre lists the US as blocked and the API docs list it as close-only. US residents are sent to the separate Polymarket US app, run by QCX LLC (a CFTC DCM). Polymarket US state-level eligibility was not verified because its ToS page loads its text client-side.
These states and DC are ineligible for Prize Drawings, so residents there get play-money (mana) trading only.
