Of the 23 platforms we review, 5 are open to residents of Australia, 3 with restrictions and 7 exclude them. For 8 the published terms do not say either way.
ASIC regulates financial products, and the ACMA enforces the Interactive Gambling Act, which restricts offshore wagering services. Several platforms list Australia as restricted.

Australia is on the Prize Drawing ineligible list; residents can use play-money mana only.
Listed in the Terms (updated 24 Jan 2025) among countries whose residents may not use Real-Money Services. Play-money (Ooms) markets stay open, and the app tells users from Restricted Jurisdictions they can still bet play money.

- Can residents of Australia use Kalshi?
- No. Kalshi’s terms exclude residents of Australia. Australia is on the Member Agreement's list of Restricted Jurisdictions. Residents may not trade Event Contracts (the agreement says this does not by itself bar holding membership).
- Can residents of Australia use Polymarket?
- With restrictions. Polymarket is open to residents of Australia only in part. Australia is close-only on both the frontend and the API: users can close existing positions but cannot open new ones. The help centre (dated 2026-08-14) lists it among blocked countries, so new residents effectively cannot trade.
- Can residents of Australia use FanDuel Predicts?
- No. FanDuel Predicts’s terms exclude residents of Australia. FanDuel Predicts can only be used from eligible U.S. locations, based on geolocation.
